It dawned on me that even though I post my gig schedule elsewhere, I never put up a page about how to contact me or the projects I'm up to. Feel free to see my ReverbNation or SoundCloud site for compositions.
Currently, I
play four (fretted and fretless), five, and six string electric bass
guitar and occasionally acoustic bass. Bass wasn't my first instrument,
but I feel that it is where my soul is. I am very attached to my Citron NT6 bass. This bass was made in 1999 by a fabulous Woodstock luthier, musician, and good friend, Harvey Citron.
I had no clear intent of getting a six string, though when it was
placed in my hands I felt something I had never felt in a bass before:
true affinity. I thought, this is my voice. With righteous
low end and a sweet tone that sings, everything is heard. I feel my
hands doing the coloring and textures. Sonically unique, it is the most
beautiful and versatile bass I have ever played. The low B is tight and
true. The 35" scale adds beef and stability. Harvey's custom wound
pickups have a delicious fidelity and tone. Amazing.
Recently, I was lucky enough to be able to get one of the first Citron NT5s. It is absolutely exquisite. I love playing this and the NT6 becuase the sound of the instruments is so clear and fresh to my ears. If you feel the same way I do and are absolutely enchanted with Harvey Citron's instruments, visit his website.
